...I'm so lazy, these days.Scarecrow & Dorothy & Jack Pumpkinhead & Patchwork Girl (Scraps) of The World of Oz novels.
(Of course, I am an avid fan of the Return to Oz movie...)

I am also an avid fan of Return to Oz, and can't find a copy to buy anywhere.... And I'm seeking out all the books from the series I can find (so far just Ozma of Oz and Tic-Tok of Oz). I'm glad to see book art out there! I should do some myself!

:3 Yes, indeed, she does! It's basically the whole discussion on whether or not Tim Burton was allured by Jack Pumpkinhead (who could easily be Jack Skellington) and Scraps (who could easily be Sally). I mean, though it is evident that she likes Scarecrow better, Scraps often refers to Jack as being "So handsome". X3 My bet is that he did base his protagonists on them.
Actually, thinking about it... Jack Skellington WAS wheeled into Halloween Town on a Straw Horse... and the Straw Horse is actually Jack's steed in the Oz books...
