Description Ah, this is why you should be absolutely sure that there isn't anything that can harm you in the water before you go swimming.

K-O is my little 13 year old eel boy, a very timid little kid who after a series of events, most rather unfortunate ended up living in Fort's secret oasis.

I will say this straight away, this was against Fort's wishes.

Fort doesn't like the kid so much since the boy was once used against his will to find other supernatural creatures to be slain by hunters. Also the boy, at his current age and his particular race is instinctively considered as prey by Naga's like Fort.  That is till he gets older, then he could possibly be a match against the large naga.

Really the only reason why the boy hasn't been, well eaten is because of Alice, Fort's young human friend.  She saved the eel boy from the cruel hands of the hunters and, when she showed up at the oasis with him defended him from the angry naga.  Eventually she got Fort to promise that he wouldn't end up harming the kid, although when she isn't around he sometimes steps over the line just a bit.

K-O usually hides in the mud whenever possible but when he gets to hungry he has to stray into deeper water to caught fish and small shellfish to eat.  Usually he keeps an careful eye out for Fort, since the naga has made it clear that all he wants to do is eat the boy on multiple occasions.

He knew Fortitude was a land creature, what he didn't know is that sometimes the red and black scaled being sometimes likes to nap in the deep water when it's to hot, nor that he can hold his breath for hours on end.

Seeing the young boy swimming around so carefree the naga couldn't resist messing around with him a bit, although he is looking far to amused for his own good.

I thing the term for that expression is Hunters Glee...

He hasn't hurt him though, the only thing he's damaged is the protective membrane the eel boy has, it protects his skin, keeps in moist and gives him a horrible flavor.  It grows back, eventually, but for now I think K-O better watch out before the naga removes any more of it...so far that's the only thing Fortitude is trying to harm.

The little guy should be fine..

Anyway as always comments are welcomed.

He really should leave the poor kid alone. *sigh* Really he's just bored.  Besides he's over two thousand years old, kinda tricky to find someone his own age to torment.

Hehe, K-O is a cute little guy, I'm glad you like him! ^-^

Yeah... it's not honorable to mess with something so much smaller and weaker.

Though..... K-O... if he grows up big enough, may very welll get retribution. XP

I like all your characters! K-O, Fort (when he's not being a pain in the tail), little no-name-yet... but K-O I think is definitely the most adorable. X'3

Yeah, he used to be a general, you would think he would know all about honor, -_-

Hopefully K-O has a good memory since it will take about ten more years before he's big enough to be the pain in the tail, then Fort has to deal with some major karma. >w<

And I thought I'd name my little Scruple character Tek, it fits him well I think, thank you for suggesting it! ^-^

You'd think.... :/

But.. I guess as long as he never harms K-O too badly (as in something that won't heal within a few weeks or so) it's... not too awful that he's cruel to the kid. Seems like that little 'fault' is predominant in naga kind.... even some of mine. It takes a lot of work to beat that part of their instinct/mindset down.... though... mine have. (Through some interesting and heart-breaking circumstances.) X3 I do applaud Fort for not killing/eating the poor lil' tyke already, though I would like to see him treat the lil' fella just a little better.

If K-O forgets, then maybe that's a sign that he forgives? And that would be even better. :'3 Though.... I have a snarky need for Fort to get a dose of see-what-happens.... XD I do wonder what K-O would be like as an older teen or young adult....

You're most welcome! I'm just glad I could help. :3

He's actually very careful about not harming the kid at all, he's always going on about his self control and stuff, (and his human friend would be very annoyed if she sees even a single mark on K-O)  It does sound right that naga's have that fault about their natures, must be a predator thing.

He doesn't mind the boy that much really, he did end up letting the boy live there in the oasis and he didn't have to keep his promise about not harming him.

I could see K-O easily forgiving the naga's actions, he's a really easy going kid when given the chance.  Don't worry though, I'm sure Fort will get some comeuppance eventually.

I've also been thinking of maybe drawing K-O as a young adult, just to show how much change his kind go though once they reach their full growth.  Might be my next project...hmm.

I'm glad... once I think about it and examine the picture more throughly, it's easy to see he's not trying to do any major damage to the boy. Though... the torn membrane bit does look a little like a major ouchie. XD

My naga Tobias.... when he needs to let off steam it's his younger brother that gets it. The guy takes Orrin out sparring... and as Toby is an excellent warrior, and his brother is not... Orrin always ends up with a lot of bruises. Course, he doesn't mind all too much... Toby has had a nasty time of it in his past, and Orrin knows also that if he spars with his older brother enough, he'd eventually get good enough not to come away with bruises anymore.

True....

Just as long as he doesn't start thinking of little K-O as an emergency snack if hunting gets hard, I'll be okay. XD

I had a feeling that's hoe K-O would be... the way you draw him conveys that... personality. I can almost see it in his eyes.

I would love to see K-O as a young adult! You've gotten me curious about all the changes now. XD

Thankfully that membrane isn't actually attached to anything so it won't pull on his skin, although he will be feeling very vulnerable with his one defense torn for the next few hours.   Technically Fort's grip on his tail would pinch a bit though...

I love the look of your Tobias and Orrin! It's rather mean of Tobia's taking it all out by beating up his younger all the time, but I can see how in time Orrin might improve, maybe one day it will be his brother with the bruises. ^w^

Thankfully Fort has a wide hunting range, and IF hunting becomes hard he will always turn more towards the people in the town not far away from his home.  Not that he would turn to eating humans!  But they keep sheep and cattle.

As you can guess, although they never actually seen him he isn't popular in this practice, he goes for the prized game. -_-

That's actually a great thing to hear, I believe in the eyes being the window to the soul and have been trying to convey my oc's personality's though them, now I know at least one that I've been able to do this with at least one, thanks!

Ah, and unless you haven't seen it let this is K-O as a young adult, fav.me/d77xmk6

I loved the idea of him older so I had to draw it down quick. ^-^

Ah, I was wondering if it was attached to anything, or if it was like a 'floating' skin above his hide. Though... yeah, that grip does look like it would be a bit uncomfortable....

Thanks. And yes... Toby can be a bit mean at times, but it's cause his elder brother, loyal to the cruel king, killed a small girl Toby and Orrin had secretly taken into their protection. It made him more than a little angry..... he killed his cruel brother and almost killed his cruel father (haven't decided if the old king died from his wounds or not), then took his little brother and left, exiling himself from their kingdom. Every now and then a fit of 'rage' takes over and he needs to get rid of it somehow.... Orrin (and the 'giant' naga of mine, Derin) are the only creatures in the Haven valley strong enough to take what he dishes out. Not even the minotaurs can handle his 'wrath' so to speak. XD Though... I am thinking of bringing in another stronger race to ease some or Orrin's 'suffering'.

Though.... I may just have Orrin take lessons from another older fighter and end up whipping Toby's tail.... XD

Makes sense.... the prized game is the biggest, so he doesn't have to take as much..... one big buck goat vs two or three does. Though.... if he wanted to help the villagers a bit he could take one of the imperfect stock every now and then.... so the villagers can have better stock in the long run. (That's how wolves and other predators keep the deer and elk herds healthy. XD)

Eye are exactly that! Without eyes, one can't read the other's personality.... except though words or actions. Needless to say... it's hard to convey or read the same with a character who is blind and wears a blindfold around his head to hide his unseeing eyes. You are most welcome!

I love the older K-O! He's such a handsome fellow, young or old. X3 I'm going to have to keep my eyes open and see if I can learn more about the boy. He seems like a person I wouldn't mind meeting one day. ^_^ And the way you drew him is fantastic too!
