Saw you on Tumblr - thus I am here to see your other Lillith photos! Oh damn I'm impressed! I'm curious though: What did you use for the tattoos? You did an amazing job!

Thanks! I just used book cover contact as a stencil to paint on the tattoos. Helps to keep edges clean. :]

Where did you get the stuff for the cosplay? I really want to go as Lilith for PAX this year but I have no idea where to start or where to get the stuff. Please help. Your cosplay is the most accurate I have found so far and I absolutely love it!

Haha thanks! I actually made the whole thing myself with a wide range of fabrics. All faux leather was bought from ebay, along with the EL strip. The guns were supplied and modified by good friend Newton of Riot's Armoury. :]

I only have one question. How did you make the top part? The vest and yellow top part?

I graphed my own pattern pieces for this costume, and used a variety of fabrics and techniques. It's a bit hard to go into full detail on how I made everything, but it was all done on impulse, really.
Here's a progress picture of the vest, and to the left is my graphing of it. I first sewed up a basic pattern block, sketched in my costume, and used that as pattern pieces [adding seam allowance where need be]

Thanks! Well for the chaps, I used some thick foam [bought some cheap camping/yoga mats], lacquered them and painted them. They literally fell apart at the end of the day. I recommend you reinforce it if you plan on using foam, but if I ever plan on cosplaying Lilith again I'll probably make the chaps from fibreglass, or buy soccer chaps and shape thin mould over the top. Good luck!!
