I knoww. I think what was interesting about the ending was that Vergil DID have a point about human beings not being able to take care of themselves. Yeah Dante and Kat wanted freedom but what kind of freedom? Total anarchy? Vergil was trying to convince them that he would be a ruler to "protect" the humans, not enslave them like Mundus. He wanted to be the good king, because at the end of the day, let's face it, someone had to keep the overall shit in order. But there were two flaws to Vergil's saying: First, he was going to address humans as "subjects", which is a very derogatory term that ticked Kat and Dante off, and two, although he had good intentions in mind, his need for justice and "good" would have overruled the individual need of the people. I mean look how he treated Kat. That behavior can play foully and he'll just become another dictator. Sad though, I really wanted them to AT LEAST give him a chance. I know Dante and Kat are all about freedom, and that's great now that they have it after Mundus's defeat, but shit, there's both good and bad to that. Same with Vergil's decision. I think both brothers exhibit valid points that are hard to take a side with. Still Vergil will be a great president haha

He was definitely right about the humans. I agree with his idea, but as you said he would probably become another Mundus right after. First of all he wanted power and we all know too damn well what power can do to people. Plus yes, addressing humans as "subjects" was a wrong move, especially considering how he treated Kat. Vergil was not evil, but I think that what happened to his family made him go a little bit crazy. He wanted to destroy Mundus and only that. Probably he's more sensitive than Dante.

Exactly! Despite everything, he went super crazy and evil by the end anyway. And the fact, like you said, he's just so sensitive to rejection for being downplayed by Dante in their youth that maybe, just MAYBE if they gave him a chance and let him see for himself whether his idea would have worked or not could have at least given him some merit. It's a shame how he tries to do so much but receives so little. And where do people go when they're rejected by their only loved ones? Oh right, the dark side! Ahhh Vergil, you were so calm and collected and mature and then you just turned into a little power-hungry baby. Tsk tsk.

I actually ship this new DmC more than the original ones, although DMC will always be awesome and a real DMC5 would be appreciated anyway. I usually like alternative universes and stories, so I never hated this reboot nor the new Dante.
In Vergil's Downfall they made a very similar scene of the one in DMC3, where Vergil stabs Dante and takes his necklace. Since in DMC3 Vergil dies at the end, I suppose everything is possible at this point. I really wish that, if they're going to make a sequel or more DLCs, Vergil will be saved by Dante and Kat.
I have nothing against Dante and Kat together, but I think they are more good as best friends. I think Kat had a crash over Vergil, considering or not the comics. It's true that he betrayed her, but she begged Dante to spare his life at the end of the game... this means she probably still cares a lot for him even if he went all mad >_<

Ah yes I remember that scene in Vergil's downfall and did recognize it from dmc3. The stabbing part was more from Vergil's POV after he did it from being endlessly taunted by Dante in his mind; I really felt it gave a greater depth to Vergil's character and action for that, which I really enjoyed. You're right--the old dmcs are fine, but this new reboot seemed to connect to me more. Had more emotion and depth to them. Yes, Vergil NEEDS to be saved by Dante and Kat. It just makes it the best conclusion of all than just killing him off. I mean, why would DMC get rid of him when he's such a pivotal character?
I DO believe Kat had something with Vergil before they met Dante, and to be honest, I also like to think about how that would have been. But Vergil's quest for power and order kind of made him distance himself from Kat, and at the end, he only ended up using her for that quest. Kat was still generous enough to forgive him because he pulled her out of the worst of things, and I'm glad she did. But I guess I like the Kat and Dante ship better. I don't know it's hard to say 'cause I can see Kat with either one, I just feel more inclined towards Dante and Kat because Vergil seems more like a father figure type of character for Kat to me There WAS that point in the game however right before Dante was about to head off to limbo to fight the news anchor demon, and they were on the bridge, and Dante gives a wink to Kat before he disappears. The camera pans and shows Vergil looking at her reaction, and we can clearly see a hint of jealousy. Haha I love that tension. But again truly I see either ship working out; it's hard to choose. But I guess in my mind I like the Dante and Kat ending, and hopefully Vergil finds someone for himself when the war is all over? lol

Yeah, you can see that even in his DLC, when the Kat of his mind said "you will never be like him, Dante's a real man, bla bla bla". I suppose his mind was tricking him like this because deep inside he's jealous and wish Kat had followed him until the end. I mean, what if both Dante and Kat were all like "Damn V, you would do a great president, you're right, we will follow you forever!!" XD they would stay together, I mean the three of them like a real team.
Also, when Kat said: "I thought we were fighting for freedom" you can see Vergil's expression... as if he was feeling sorry for what he said, for how he used her until then...
I agree that maybe Kat and Dante could get really close now that Vergil is gone and all mad... and I also suppose they will probably have to fight him now that he lost his heart fully. Yet... I don't know... they are cute and all, but there is something "off" in them together. My opinion, ofc

Oh yes, I got so damn attached to him during the game. When Mundus took him from behind I suddenly felt so scared D: and when he said "I loved you brother" to Dante, with that hurting expression I was gonna cry. I mean, okay... he was a bastard with bad ideas, but his point of view was actually right and he deserves to love and to be loved >_<

I wish they will save him anyway XD because Vergil needs his heart again and we want him to be cute and sweet (he's still hot as hell though) XD
I think Vergil and Kat share some "alchemy"... I don't know. Maybe it's because she knows how to use computers a bit, even if Vergil is a total master in that. Let's say Kat is what she is thanks to him, so I think that if Vergil is gonna come back on the good side, they may have another possibility >_< I don't know.
