to all of you who have been wondering about the merida doll i made!this one goes out to my best friend whom i have know for such a long time, who has always been there for me and to whom i owe so much! so glad that i have her!
this merida was part of her christmas present. i really like the first meridas that disney brought out, i think they did a pretty good job except for the "beautifying" her. but i was really disappointed when i received the new one from this year ... since my boy friend is a huge merida fan, we had to get her but this weird side glance and the creepy look made us regret the purchase a little ... so i think his one will need a make over soon as well.

I found a Mattel Rapunzel in a second hand market and MY GOD is she creepy!
I mean, I got porcelain dolls watching me in my sleep, and none of them creeps me out a little bit. But that Rapunzel.....why Disney, WHY???

it's so weird, the dolls that were released before this year's merida didn't have this creepy looking eyes, they were actually quite cute. =/

i feel the same way. i really liekd their first edition merida though. my boy friend loves her and when i started collecting dolls, he set up the meridas in his room. but when we got the new one from this season, he was so disappointed .... );

Aah, I see~ I just always thought her various dolls didn't have her hair curly enough for the most part. Her movie hair looks like mine, so I was looking forward to seeing that in doll form. XD

true! but i guess it's super hard for disney to make super tiny curls; even i wanted to have her curls a lot smaller but it didn't work out the way i thought it would. but i'll keep looking into that - my boy friend also wants me to repaint him one of the newer meridas, so i'll have somehting to practise on for smaller curls
