Dalmatian Pelicans are the animal of the month in the Wildlife--Awareness group, and they are amazing! I did an ink drawing of one of these fellows before, but I wanted to do a color drawing, since the breeding adults have amazing bright red/orange pouches!

Materials: Canson mi tientes paper (steel grey), prismacolor pencils (white, black, 90% cool grey, 70% french grey, ultramarine, periwinkle, cloud blue, lemon yellow, carmine red, pale vermillion, crimson lake), teeny bit of white gel pen for highlights in the eyes.
