Description For some odd reason I really really want a triple fire tundra, so I started throwing together some near misses to breed my way to a pair of triple fire tundras. I won't lie, I don't like the breed much at all, but all I can think is having all that furry mane burst into flames and how cool they would look like that. I wanted to get this image out of my head and on paper while it was still fresh in my mind. The tail bothers me a little bit, but I like the rest of it. When I think of tundras, I think of a lions and tigers, so I made his body a little heavy set and wings might be a bit too small.

Will finish it later! I really really like this sketch a LOT and I wanted to post it just like this.

I think I'm going to use this drawing to once again try to break out of my comfort zone and attempt painting directly on the sketch rather than do line art.

Triple fire means that the primary, secondary and tertiary color are all the same color, fire.

It's a shame that two triple fire Tundras were sacrificed. They were pretty, especially the male.

I know ;_;. I dislike the dragon search a LOT because I see plenty of nice dragons that got exalted when I would have loved to take them in and used them to breed for colors I'm working or to keep them themselves. It's ok though. Triples are becoming more and more common and dropping in price every month. Just have to be patient, or breed your way to the colors you want. It's a buyers market right now, so I try to take advantage of that while it lasts.

Lol, yeah, I know what you mean. I have an entire slew of triples in my collection, and it's a nice time to buy because they're so low, at least for some. Rarer colors on the rarer breeds are still a lot (especially Coatls and Imps) but I'm slowing getting there. My triple fire is a Guardian and I love him to bits along with all my others. <3 Though I must admit there is something very satisfying and attractive about a triple colored male Tundra. I only have one, and he's triple pink, but still gorgeous. If I wasn't so not-in-love with the female Tundras, I'd breed them more.

Haha I have that same love/hate relationship with Coatls. I love the males, but the female just kill me on wanting to even invest in them. That and the baldness on them bothers me. I wish they had feathered headdresses.

Yeah. They do have the headdresses, but they're laid back along the neck. I didn't even notice them when I first say them. I do wish they were more propped up like the males'.
