A silly doodle and mostly an excuse to draw Conrad as he grew up, really. It's also a visual demonstration of how Conrad slowly gained confidence through the years as he started off and remained a meek and timid guy with a poor self image for a very long time.He had a temper the entire time, but his own guilt and self critical way of thinking kept him from acting upon it and it built up and built up until now where his rage is sometimes so unmanageable that it just comes out blindly and in bursts.
I find it cruelly funny that when he actually started being comfortable in his own skin he was turned into a vampire and was at the bottom of a whole new food chain.
Oops.

PS: Oh yea!! Forgot to mention it but to me Conrad sounds like the guy from the Kooks. I recommend "Always Where I Need To Be" and "She Moves In Her Own Way" if you're interested!

Oh wow! I'm in love with this! I really like the whole progression. I like how at first he's looking forward. Then he shifts his eyes behind him then he looks behind, looks forwards again then falls. It really gives me the feel on how uncomfortable he is. My favorite would have to be the almost adult Conrad mostly because it almost looks like he's trying to hide from the world in a non-emo kinda way. The large coat was also a perfect touch, I know how it feels to be uncomfortable in my own body and I used to do the same thing, wore baggy large coats and sweaters to hide myself. I love Conrad, I'm gonna be honest here: I died of happiness when I found out he sounded like the singer from the Kooks, they're one of my favorite bands!~

I LOVE how you do characters! Like Conrad's personality "type" - most characters who are down in the dumps 24/7 like that get annoying really quickly with their repetitiveness, and are rarely realistic. Not only are yours realistic and human about it, but they're so interesting and just... tons and tons of fun to read.

I would have to say that Conrad is in the top 20 of my favorite characters of everything. Maybe 5 or 6, I don't know I've never made a proper list. Hm, now I might have to, to see where he ranks. Haha. But you made him really relatable, for me anyways, rather than a graceful creature of the night on the prowl for sex.
