We all have it. It's within ourselves. Maybe it shows more in some than in others, maybe it's in different amounts, but we all have it. All we need to do, is fold out of that shell, show our fragility, and from that, grow. Turn tears to steel, wounds to ashes, look up and break the sky.Dedicated to a particular person. I'm pretty sure that one knows.

This is really beautiful, sweetheart. All of the little details really play in to a lot of the things we've been talking about lately, regarding inner strength and overcoming personal battles; and I couldn't help but think of the letter you wrote me the last day you were here. I've probably read that letter a thousand times by now. :3
But anyway, sorry for rambling. What I'm really trying to say is that this piece is breathtakingly beautiful in multiple ways. You've put a lot of meaning into this; and as you know, that's something I really cling to, when it comes to art. But aside from that, you've also managed to make something absolutely beautiful, aesthetically speaking.

Wow, this is really beautiful, both image- and meaningwise, and I think many people will relate to it. I love the steel/silver-effect! Does the sign have a particular meaning?
I see the "extra" skin as the things that were torn away due to the bad experiences in life, but that it doesn't go away in a sense, and it creates a thicker layer that makes you more resistant..
