You are welcome! Shading with colors and not just with light is a thing i wanted to do a while ago. But iam not good at shading so i skiped this for later and now i see how a skilled person is executing this! Hoping to see some more of this style

You know, it was something I wanted to do for many years as well, but never had the courage to fully pursue until 2016. There's a moment when I reached a level in my ability that gave me enough confidence to "just do it", so to speak. You reach a state of peace with yourself and with your art, not really caring what others might think, and begin creating for yourself, sharing the fruits of it at the end, the cherry on the already fulfilling cake. So my advice would be, if you feel it within you, do it for yourself, and admire the results. The first few tries might take you to strange places, but it won't be long until you find a path and method that you can be satisfied of, if you just keep trying

Thank you so much for this long and insightful reply! I feel like i just started to understand the basic things to draw a portrait. Someday i will return to acrylic on canvas and go in a more abstract direction but before i can do that i have to practice a lot. Thank you again for the encouraging words!
