I don't know if it's gonna come out as a plain text or link but anyways.
Look at the normal Sonic(Left) and you will see that he has a bit of a fur coating, but the fur doesn't pop out, you should try to see if you can do that for the ponies's coat.
I am just saying if you want to.

Again... Great job on it and I like that fluffiness on Zecora. Have you ever tried doing the coat furry, not fluffy but furry just like Sonic the hedgehog when he could turn into a monster... forgot the name though. I will try to see if I could find an example of what I am trying to say.

hi, i already try this "ages" before. I fluff the body too, with short hairs. it's looks not so bad at all, but then it lost the sharpness of the body and it looks like totally blurry, but maybe i will give this another change. the old experiments based on ModTool (that had some limits) ... i wait for your example than i will see what i can do
