I too like the angle of the the jungle heroine allowing herself to be captured and bound... Maybe she needs information from them, or hopes to be taken to meet their leader or to some other secret location... Maybe in order to save her friends or some innocents, she surrenders herself willingly as a hostage...
Or maybe even the other interpretation... she enjoys being tied up a little, and views this as a challenge, an exciting opportunity to test her escape skills! Haha...

It's a good expression and has pulp villains adding dramatic tension.
I notice it's always a similar body pose in all the art. What if you changed the pose with legs apart in the next one?

That's the most exciting one of the new bundle of 3...
One of the hostile pygmy warriors binds her wrists behind her back. She can feel how the strong leather straps are wrapped around her wrists very tightly. She knows that even SHE (the famous queen of the jungle) will have no chance to break these bonds by her own power.

I would not agree that she's pleased.
I think that she's rather pissed about this situation and about herself, that she got trapped and captured by these little warriors. So I think that her slight smile is a kind of sarcasm against herself.
In my opinion she closes her eyes because she also feels ashamed in this moment, and she doesn't want to have an eye contact with one of the triumphant pygmy warriors.

Anja Your description is very exciting, I think I've lived a very similar experience.
ok on other issues, I imagine the scene the jungle girl looking for something of pygmeos and the only way is to allow the capture, the expression on her face is of confidence that can be released at any time, and can also be a sense of how to say "pleasure", feeling "helpless" lets you experience very exciting.

But your explenation sounds very exciting to me too, vesubio. Maybe she actually has herself getting captured voluntarilly because she wanted to get into the pygmies tribes area, and into their village, to find something out. On the way to the village she's still self confident that she'll be able to break her bonds and to escape whenever she wants.
But in the village the pygmies tie her up with bonds that are too strong, even for her. She gets aware that now she's really helpless under the mercy of the pygmies tribe. And then she'll find out that the Pygmies are deeply into heavy torture and whipping rites. They offer the pain of their victims to their gods. She has to suffer and to endure heavy torture, and there's nothing she can do, no way to break her bonds and to escape quicly...

I was thinking the same thing, as if she's to the point of deriving a bit of pleasure in being bound up so many times so far. You have to appreciate a beautiful lady that can make the most of any given situation.
