Now, I realise that the Jungle Girl is closing her eyes, just like on the pictures from 2017 august when three women surprise her in the forest and decide to tie her up the same way. It makes that scene all the more dramatic, heroic, and even slightly erotic, doesn't It?!
I can't imagine accepting such an unfair and demeaning deal. But I'm not so brave and noble, I guess. I find It so beautiful that she would agree not only to go offer herself instead of the hostages, but that she agreed for the chief's daughter to tie her up this way in front of the whole village, to lead her into the wild as an helpless captive.
Sometimes I just love plunging back in that story!

I can't help noticing the third man on the right, fermely pointing at the jungle girl's arms. He must say something like : "Tie her very tight ! Strong as she is, she musn't be able to escape if she'd change her mind along the ride. You have to squeeze It hard!"
Maybye that's one of the reasons the jungle girl closes her eyes like that. She's stoic about It, but hard as It is for her to be bound in front of the whole village, she has to hear this before leaving. Treated as an ennemy, a captive to keep an eye on, a prey to offer to the first captors, she must feel very lonely right now. I wonder if she's starting to regret having agreed to all their conditions. Anyway, that's one of the most emotional moments of the Kraal series.

I like the expression on the black woman's face. And also the abnegation of the jungle girl. Since she's willing to ride with the other woman to the other village and then, to deliver herself, she could as well ride with her ropes free, then allow to be tied up. Even a few metters from the destination. Ennemies woudn''t know she wasn't tied up the whole way. But she makes the extra effort on herself to accept this extra offense. Her gift to those natives is great; and their goodbye/thank you gift... Well, is a little upsetting. Though, she doesn't mind, and "take It like a lady".

The woman that ties her up is looking strangely satisfied and determined about It, or is It just me ? The chief of the tribe seems to say gentle words to the heroine, but that woman looks just applied to her task, not excessively compassionate.
I have the impression that the jungle girl is doing a great gesture for this tribe, and that the native only think to make sure she won't be tented to escape during the ride. She should know the heroine better. And I find It a little irritating, yet touching, to consider that the jungle girl makes It easy on everyone but her. She could say : "Well, I agree to sacrifice myself for your children, but I am the jungle queen ! I don't really care for those trust issues. It's humiliating enough to be ready to surrend myself to these savages. So, sorry, but I'll do the ride with this girl rope free ! I'll ride with her, then, at the gates, I'll allow her to tie me up. I'm helping you, guys, I'm not agree to be treated like your captive, before beeing delivered to the bad tribe."
Instead of that, several miles away maybye, she obey to the letter to the outrageous instructions. She does'nt even negociate with the native woman in order to be riding side by side with her as a willing friend about to offer herself to save the children. To summer It, the jungle girl is both proud (like always) and pretty complacent.Β Β Β Pretty beeing the right word ! Β

Following my suggestion of the story plotΒ ( www.deviantart.com/art/Zero1-4β¦) this is just before the chiefs daughter and the Jungle Girl will leaveΒ towards the evil tribes village...
The other members of the friendly tribe are standing around the two girls, looking with admiration to our brave Jungle Girl who agreed to give herself under the mercy of the evil tribe to get the other captives free.
