Description
Imperial Mass Drivers is a strange and unique weapon developed by the Clone Imperium. At first it seems backwards in terms of technology as the Clones seemed to have returned to primitive solid slug weapons, however, there is no sign of a magazine carrying the ammunition. The weapons themselves are not fully understood, but what has been known so far, is the Imperium has developed a method of transforming pure energy into a solid matter, before spitting them out at extreme high velocity. No explosive rounds are known in the rounds that are fired, but the material created is of some extremely dense metal that is yet to be identified. The rounds are known to pass clean through any form of shield protection, and passing clean through armour with such force and velocity. Theses solid slugs real damage is done by the sheer kinetic energy upon the impact. The Weapons are still very rare in the Imperium, but they might have been tested during the 4th Wars as during the first day of fighting against the Imperium, a Mass driver was fired against the Royal Flagship. Very few things can resist the power of the Mass Driver. Even now, the Zodiac Colony are working in the few recovered Mass Drivers from the battlefield and are yet to make any official reports on their findings.
