I grew up watching super robots anime dubbed in english or malay, especially franchises bought over by western companies like Harmony Gold, World Events and Force Five. After many years, when I looked them up in the net, that's when I realised it would have been even more enjoyable if I had watched the original/undubbed versions back then.It also keeps me wonder how long do companies and parents in the west has to keep up with the sheer hypocrisy? Killings and deaths aren't allowed in American anime tv then but guns are still easily available everywhere. As a result, these dubbed animes were rewritten and become pure nonsense. Maybe that's the reason why they're not included into the SRW franchise.
The term 'Voltron' and 'Ramrod' here are invalid as they are going back to their nippon roots. So they resumed their names as 'Golion', 'DairuggerXV' and 'Bismark'. Other unlisted robot animes such as 'Danguard Ace', 'God Sigma' and 'Galatt' are included so that they would be remember.

I wonder whats this persons favorite non-Gundam Mecha (not that hate gundam, in fact UC's storyline are brilliant even today, its just that im more into super robot genre because i realized Real Robot Genre is good but it can never have the same function as the Super robot genre's theme of hope and never giving up (Which can is presented in real robot genre as well but i think the super robot genre portrays better for me because for some reason i see my terrors and my fears more like monster than a human being which usually fits in at a Super Robot Show)

All these mechas is reminding me of this one fansite that I lost track off and can't remember it's name. Ugh. So many of them and I cvaguely remember this one and it's really bugging me!

I see Lion Voltron, Vehicle Voltron, and Ramrod from Saber Rider (Seijushi Bismarck in Japan). And its to my memory that Ramrod was voiced by Peter Cullen AKA the voice of Optimus Prime.

Amazing, simply amazing, and yes harmony gold must die, but you must tell me whom that delicious little death-machine just above Golion decked out with all of the guns, i have sen many super robots in my life, but not that one. and i thought the Danguard was 185 MT. That's the Bismarck. A transformable super robot capable of turning into a space shuttle and the theme is something like a space cowboy. Harmony Gold renamed it as Ramrod in the 80s'.

I did the same thing you did, but I got to watch a lot of Mecha Anime Raw back in the day. The kid next door was half Japanese and had stuff taped off Jap-TV. I love Big Mech show like Mazinger, Getter, and other GÅ Nagai robos. Good Work. I'm going to Fav it.
