7th battle for
Rematch against *demonspawnjake 's Dark Type Ace Trainer Vance !
SO. Cinderface is being a malicious ass and set Cacturne on fire and flying into James and Vance who barely dodged the thing. Umbreon sent out some Double Team projectiles in hopes of stopping the Typhlosion from getting to the cactus monster, but his plan was foiled by Shadowstride who used Alchemy Shadow Claw to destroy the illusions. If it weren't for Umbreon's sharp instincts, he would almost be snared by the attack too!
ALL IN A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT SETTING, LOOK AT THE BACKGROUND, LOOK AT IIIIIIT. I'm slowly grasping environments; it was actually pretty fun painting this one. c:
Alsooo I love how *edface always includes the trainers in her splash battles and I decided I'd want to do that too. Quite a challenge!

Cinderface is amazing, I never thought a Typhlosion's butt could look so cool, the Umbreon-clones poofing away as the shadowclaw hits them is brilliant and your backgrounds make me even more envious of your skill.

Well, you have to be a member of the IPL, so the first thing to do is fill in the Trainer Card and send it in through this form for the admins to accept. When you're in, you may challenge any other IPL trainer by sending them a note with what type of battle you wish to have. Once they accept your challenge and you notify the league about the battle through the Battle Request Form , you're ready to go!

Easily one of the best battles I've seen in IPL. I love how everything is interacting with each other right down to the shading, and how it's in a pleasing and well executed composition. The best part of this for me is how it's detailed, yet not restricting itself to being realistic and stiff. You work your style wonderfully and I love all the zest that is packed into here.
TL;DR amagad I want to touch this, you're amazzzzinngg!

As for the buildings... I don't know. They're easy enough to transform in space/perspective, since they're just, you know, regular blocks. I have much more trouble with anything less regular, ie. everything else that isn't a building. orz

i absolutely love the action in this one. there's a lot going on, but it all flows so well and isn't cluttered at all, so it works incredibly nicely. and all the effects are FANTASTIC. the way those shadowclaws go through the double team umbreons looks amazing, and the lighting coming from shadowstride is a really great effect too.
the background is great and i love the epic perspective. i would critique but i can't think of anything to add. ummm maybe a bit more texture to the cement/blacktop? the fur textures are very simple and add a whole lot to the image, but the ground itself looks a bit lifeless. and maybe a bit more of the blue shadow claw light on cinderface's underbelly. it's pretty bright on the umbreon that's on the same plane, but kind of not there on him.
mostly i'm just trying to be helpful and probably just nitpicking, sorry ;_;

waa this is beautiful! it's so harmonious in color and the composition makes my eye really go around the image. nothing is unclear or muddled, and the only thing I would say to add is more atmospheric perspective to help your awesome use of normal perspective with the buildings. I think it'd really punch the battle back in space as well as bring the banette/umbreon stuff forward.
can't wait to see the progress on this stuff too~
