Description

As the training staff issued the soldiers to tag race partners, Roxanne hopped into the first nearby jeep, occupied by a young man she had earlier seen joking around with some fellow soldiers. She did not know him, nor did she care who he was. He was not Hobbie, that's what mattered. He greeted her with a grin and short nod, tipping his hat. She sternly nodded back at him, unsmiling. The drill instructor started the countdown.
"You better drive fast and furious, kid." she said through gritted teeth, looking around at the other cars surrounding them.
She couldn't have noticed the gleam in Chase's eyes as he started the engine.

Goddarnit, I'm so fed up with working on this, but finally it's finished. If I have time after completing the second illustration I might try and tinker with this one further, but, for now, I claim it as done. After my last drawn illustration I wanted to use a different color palette, so blues, teals and yellows GO.

Illustration includes:
a maniacal Chase dear god man, what are you doing,
a terrified Roxanne Blake ,
a concerned for the airborne Asco+Marika Timbo Jones ,
a very excited Elias ,
a less excited Risa ,
far in the back and I'm afraid barely recognizable are Kathleen mcGrath being denied access to the steering wheel by an annoyed Hobbie . Because we all know what happens when Kat drives. people die oh no wait thats malcolm jeeps die

I had the race course swerve among the coastal pine forest, but hopefully as much of the beach and ocean as we see will be acceptable for conveying the designated setting.

also how do i jeeps :U
