I know I'm 7 years late, but that looks like you could easily modify it to have a cavity with a screwed-on face plate, where you can drop in any smartphone to act as the screen.

That's amazing.

I want to do a Fallout cosplay suit.

I wish I were creative enough to whip something like that up and have it come out looking that good.

Ho wdid you do that?

Vice552 In reply to Zeba-chan [2009-02-23 04:18:57 +0000 UTC]

Its made from a travel clock and PVC mostly. I filled in the gaps with illustration board and added a few junk bits i got from an electronics surplus store. a lick of paint and some dry brushing of silver finished it off. thanks for your interest.

very good job, i would try to make some, what did you used for the cylindrical part?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Vice552 In reply to IlNedo [2009-02-05 17:54:19 +0000 UTC]

its made with a piece of PVC pipe, and the ribbed sections are these weird pipe converter pieces.

wow, thats awsome. where did you get the materials for it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Vice552 In reply to CluelesssEvil [2009-01-22 04:06:18 +0000 UTC]

Thanks, its mostly 3 materials, plumbing pipe fitters, chip board (AKA thick cardboard without the coorgation), and then a travel alarm clock. other than that its mostly just things from my scrap bin; knobs, toy parts, old models, etc, etc.
