This was a commission piece i've just completed.
The client originally wanted something along the lines of Grim Fandango but in my style. He loved the idea of sugar skulls and the whole Day of the Dead thing. After a bunch of sketches I came up with this... Not quite Grim Fandango, but he loved the traditional inspired sugar skull more. Grim Fandango, although supposedly inspired by Day Of The Dead, has very little markings upon his skull. So it worked well in my favour!

Acrylic on 5" x 7" 250lb Watercolour Paper.
