This is my first oil painting, although I did used acrylics as an under-painting. I designed this painting to fractal endlessly into the center. Later I will take it and make a short looping video of the painting doing so. And again ill break down each symbolic aspect of this piece.

The yellow: The yellow part resembles life. The background is a field of stars. I tend to use stars and space a lot in my work because space is infinite and yet to be explored and I hope in the afterlife I can do so , but somewhere in this endless creation we have our planet earth that can support life. The mans eyes are open and is pure. Inside his head is a baby and around it are little cells, both having something to do with life. (please click the links for close ups [link] )

The Blue: The blue resembles the corruption. Inside of his head are mechanical parts of a machine, but the corruption of man kind is not necessarily due to technology, but more of the man made aspect of it and all other things distracting us from what is important and real. He is transparent because of the in between stage of life and death. His eyes are closed and therefor blind. [link]

The Red: The red is death. Inside of its head is a man reaching hopelessly towards the sun(the light) as the city around him is being destroyed by impacting meteorites. [link]

The Center: the center is divided into thirds. If you look closely they are eyes and the iris is a mixture between the colored heads (green, purple, and orange) and all 3 eyes are looking towards the center allowing it to fractal. The one corresponding to the yellow is a DNA strand which is also related to life. The blue is the formula for wave frequency. The red is the pulsing line on a heart monitor as it comes to a stop.

The triangle in the center has 3 beveled edges going from white for the yellow to gray for the blue and then black for the red.

The fact that it fractals also resembles how life cycles and as one ends another is created. The main iris is brown because this is how EYE see the color wheel of life.
