Yep, another Boondock Saints cartoon, and it's a crossover with the game "Dante's Inferno." I know that sounds like an odd combo but I thought it might be funny and decided to draw it anyway. Or maybe I'm just a tiny bit insane.
First off, you should know that "The Divine Comedy" (of which the Inferno is the first part) holds a special place in my heart. I first read the Inferno when I started high school and decided to read the whole Divine Comedy toward the end of high school. I have to say I can understand why most people read the Inferno only because Purgatory and Paradise are surprisingly dull.
Anyway, I can't say a lot of good things about the game "Dante's Inferno." Sure it's not very much fun to have a poet as your hero and the graphics are pretty darn amazing but EA and Visceral games just took it over the top! I couldn't eat for hours after I saw a walk-through of the Gluttony level.
Anyway, I started to wonder what would happen if our intrepid MacManus brothers were in the game and this is what I came up with. I'm not saying that Connor and Murphy wouldn't absolve some souls, they just seem to be more likely to punish. Heck that's their style!
Yes, I have Dante and Il Duce singing "Stairway to Heaven;" it's a great song! One of the most beautiful I've ever heard. Plus I thought it would be ironically appropriate.
