Description A drawing for my friends at romspaceknightart.blogspot.com…  depicting one of my earliest heroes, Rom, the SpaceKnight.

Just like Transformers and G.I.Joe, Rom was a toy in the 80´s which was turned into a comic by Marvel, written by Bill Mantlo and drawn by Sal Buscema. It was published here in Brazil altogether with Hulk (also drawn by Sal Buscema) and Star Wars comics.

So here´s my toast, to old Led eyed Rom, we await his return

Why, THANK YOU    the very mention of the All-Father makes me smile. I know what you mean, i used the blocky look, to make him look taller, as Rom is very tall as I recall

well it's about time amigo! this came out good i like the colors and the line work on ROM's armor. if there had ever been a Saturday morning cartoon of ROM i kinda imagine it would have looked the way you illustrated him here. i created an update to the current blog posting so that people from over there will have a look here too.

well amigo you made the 80s proud. speaking of the 80s at the beginning of next month i'm going to spend a little time in Portland Oregon. while i'm there i'm going to be visiting Floating World Comics which hosted the 2007 and 2010 Bill Mantlo benefit art auction. and just down the street there's a retro video game arcade called Ground Kontrol which has nothing but classic 80s video games. we have something like that near where i live but the one in Portland looks like it has more games.
