Bear in mind that african swallows are non-migratory, though.

Woo, I like the colors. Hair is always a pain in the ass for me, but you made quite a good job here. Especially the bright single hair at the hair line makes it look more realistic. (Well, as far as I can tell this is not intended to be a super-realistic piece, still, it fits the "atmosphere") And the flesh-pink strand of hair on the left, on the grey ground - I dunno, but I love the effect.
Did you use references for the face/birds?
And whats up with the left swallows'(they are swallows, righ?) right wing. Looks a bit like he has some troubles there.
Sorry I didn't comment on your latest deviations, but I'm a lazy bit. TBH I stared quite a while at them, made thoughts and stuff, but didn't comment in the end. Maybe I'll fetch up later.

Thanks! Made with MyPaint, I used mainly the devaad/mixed -brush and also bulk. Layers: background, woman, light features, hair, red colors, swallows. Time spent about 5 hours. Unfortunately I don't have any WIPs because I just saved all progress over the earlier lines.
