When I was younger, I wanted to be Princess Sally in Knothole and to fall in love with Sonic the Hedgehog. My doctor says the medicine is making me better.

This is not my usual, that's for sure. I'm still contemplating if I want to call this a WIP or not because I can most assuredly improve on it, considering the coloring technique I attempted is pretty much beyond my ken without more practice. So... yes, I'll call this a practice piece!

I wanted to try coloring differently than I normally do, and I randomly picked this old-ish sketch of Sally and Sonic I had floating around my computer. I posted it on my FA account long ago but didn't bother to here for some reason. I'm not crazy about how I drew Sally. Sonic's OK but Sal is so-so by my eye. In any case, you'll have to excuse the unclean lineart. It was a bit too FUBAR to spend too much time cleaning in Photoshop and by george I didn't want my usual hard vector lines for this. Please stop laughing at my happy little trees. Bob Ross would have liked them. *runs away crying*

No seriously, the background is rather lame, but I didn't want over-forestation to distract from Sonic and Sally in the foreground. I'll have to do some thinking on it. But beyond that, painting is pretty fun. I look forward to practicing more.
