Dude.  You're a genius.  What you're doing in these alien botanical posts is excellent practice.  Forget what I said in the other post - you're already doing it.  You're brain is on fire.  You're taking a quantum leap from line drawing to rendering form.  You're just approaching it from the side of your strengths, instead of jumping in at the other end (like I tend to do).  And it's working for you.  Sweet.
