CHIMECHO- I’ve been seeing a lot of these realistic pokemon lately and have been in LOVE with them...hello =arvalis! (not sure how you do that little link icon) Sooo I thought I would join the bandwagon and do one myself. I haven’t been in the poke-verse for quite sometime now so when I discovered this little guy I just HAD to put my stank on it….you know from cute to uggers. Here it is Chimecho!DISCLAIMER- My “realistic pokemon” aren’t necessarily meant to be an exact replica to the original but more so an homage.

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00am. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you and watching you bleed to death.
Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes u will have the best day of ur life tomorrow. u will either get kissed or asked out, if u break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room tonight. in 53 mins someone will say i love you or im sorry

This Chimecho of yours is my favorite yet. I love how everyone's versions are different, and yours surely stand out in term of uniqueness. I like when people don't just draw regular animals with different colors, and yours go even further!

I'm sure you get a lot of flack for it, but the only design so far that I didn't like a ton was the Gengar one, but I really respect your take on it and still think it's awesome. I love how you take the designs of Pokemon and morph into something amazing like this. Reminds me of what my brother does when we draws people.

thank you! Haha you know I do, people are sooo "protective" of their understanding of pokemon, which is great don't get me wrong. Not sure who's gengar you saw, maybe Arvalis? but I haven't taken gengar on, either way i'm flattered because Arvalis is AMAZING.
I use pokemon as a template I'm not trying to make a literal translation or earthly configuration of them, i see them more alien. I'm glad you can appreciate that, most don't, but those who do can see where I am coming from and can accept my perspective on the pokemon universe.

Exactly, that's awesome. If your goal was to make them look like natural adaptations of Pokemon and did this... Then yeah, it wouldn't be appropriate. But your goal is to re-imagine them and put your own artistic spin on it, just using the Pokemon as a reference point and stepping stone for what you do.
Kinda like what I'm doing with my maps for Gen 0 
Yeah.... a lot of people are set in their ways on how they see Pokemon. I fall to that myself as well

I'm glad you were that impressed by it!! "My" pokemon tend to be a little more on the alien side as apposed to earth animal inspired. Some people like it others don't but i'm glad you do!

I think you are talking about its "tail?" Chimecho isn't a terrestrial pokemon, it floats around so I doubt it puts any pressure onto its tail never mind use it as a mode of transportation. Its kind of like a peacock's tail, all for show.
