My older misanthropic cat who lives as a recluse in the garage.Despite best efforts, she is insanely paranoid and loathsome about being around the other cats and animals.

Yes, she can have a temper toward other cats.
I get the feeling she was abused or neglected at her previous home to be so reclusive, which is sad.
