Description In the mid 1870s, the Woodland Plateau & Lonesome Mountain Railroad Company needed a locomotive to help push trains up the hill. So in 1875, the WP&LM placed an order at Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a hefty 0-6-0ST with 9,550 lbs of tractive effort. The locomotive never carried a name, just the number 4 painted on its tanks, however it was nicknamed "Porky" by the engine crews.
