I got a lot of requests for this! People have been asking if my Pumpkin-themed Bulbasaur would become a Jack-O-Lantern as it evolved, and while I do love that idea I feel like a Jack-O-Lantern Bulbasaur could be its own species. In the game I have
in mind, there would be a special garden that changes with the seasons, and special events would correlate with those seasons. During October, the garden would become a pumpkin patch. If a player evolves an Ivysaur into a Venusaur at this location, breeds it to get a Bulbasaur egg, and then hatches that egg at the Pumpkin Patch, it will be a pumpkin Bulbasaur! However, during the nights around Halloween a spectre can be seen roaming the garden. If the Bulbasaur egg is hatched at night on October 29th, 30th or the 31st, that spectre will bless the baby and it will hatch into a Jack-O-Lantern Bulbasaur.

While I see the regular Pumpkin Bulbasaur being either a Grass/Dark or a Grass/Fairy type, I see Jack-O-Lantern Bulbasaur being Grass/Ghost, with possibly a few exclusive fire-type moves.

Witch-Hat Mimikyu probably wouldn’t have an extra type. I see the change as mostly cosmetic but I’m willing to change my mind on the matter. I feel like exclusive costumes for Mimikyu would be great little collectables that could be found in-game or through in-person events. (On a side note, I’ve been against Nintendo just giving things to everyone during events. It’s nice I guess, but there isn’t such a thing as a ‘rare’ pokemon anymore. I’d love to online-battle someone with a Mimikyu wearing a costume that I never would’ve seen before.)

Skull-Dwebble would be a Bug/Ghost type. It would be incredibly rare and only found in an abandoned-cemetery section of the game. Not sure what I’d do with its evolution line. Tombstone maybe?

I changed up the Gastly line to make them look more like classic ghosts. I’m having a hard time deciding what would be different about these boyos but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
