Okay so I'm being a bit indecisive about some of my characters and was hoping you guys might be able to offer me some input.Some things are final while others (mostly colors) I would like some opinions on (and then maybe completely disregard said opinions cuz my brain a dick sometimes)
So first up is Marigold. She is getting a new cutiemark and I'm drawing her to look a bit older since she looked to be the same age as all the cmc kids before (which she isn't) so yeah she got a bit taller and more pony-ish.
But I am still conflicted about her colors since I love blue but the one with a more purple hint might be more suitable considering her parents. (Yes its barely noticable but my thought factory is making a big deal out of it as per usual)
Love Letter is getting a new eye color, just wanted to mention that.
Then Crabby is changing parents, she is going to be a Diamond Tiara x Applebloom kid, but I really like her previous color scheme so now I'm not sure weither to make her their biological kid or maybe have AB and DT have a donor or something? Please tell me what you think I should do, if you have any other idea or color combo feel free to shout it at me.
And lastly Honeycrisp got a new hairdo. After seeing the Apples parents it just occured to me that Honey and Buttercup had similar coloring, only Honey is yellow and Buttercup was orange. So wanted to make her mane more like Buttercup's and to maybe change her eyes to be along side the theme of her grandma. So yeah, green or purple eyes?
Like man, its such tiny things but I've been stuck for hours on these. So please any kind of input will be very much appreciated and will help me decide what to do about these guys.
I will throw out more redesign stuff later, but this is it for now.

I know this is a little old design but it would be nice if you could mix the color purple with the orange of the horsehair as abos the parents of marigold have 3 colors in their mane

Crabby's parentage and design don't have to change if you go with the donor thing.
Also, Honey looks better with green eyes. The purple ones look good too, but the color itself seems a little out of place in a design like that.

Well I'm glad I haven't put color to my sketches yet! I'm pretty fond of the green eyes on Love Letter, but whatever you like, I'm down for it! And I'm putting in my two cents for violet eyes on Honey, only because I like how unique they are. Great quality work as always!

Very cute, all of them! Not sure if you're open to help with any of this, but if you're still trying to decide on Crabby's colors I prefer the lower one. Also, I think the green eyes look very nice on Honeycrisp. The purple is cute, but I like the apple green, personally.
I really love Marigold's design, she's really cute! Very creative color usage for the ship of choice.

What if Marigold confronts Twilight with the way her brother is acting? Maybe that could lead to a big resolution between Twilight and her son, rather then let it all just stay the same. It could be interesting to watch mother and daughter interact on the subject, and see where it goes from there.

I think that the violet on Marigold brings more contrast with her eyes. As original and cool her design is, how similar her eyes and coat are always bothered me.
As for Crabby... I definitely think that the old colors look much better. Maybe Carrot Crunch divorced Applebloom and sorta walked away on his daughter, and that's related to why Crabapple is always so violent and grumpy? Sperm don is fine though

I quite like the slight purple tint on Marigolds pelt colour and little love letters eye colour, maybe Crabapple could be from a past relationship with Carrot Crunch but when he found out about Applebloom being pregnant he left, when Diamond Tiara heard about this she immediately started helping her out by buying stuff for the baby, going to the doctors with her and just being there in general, they both had a mutual crush on each other and soon began dating halfway through the pregnancy and by the time crabapple was born Diamond Tiara had already moved in and loves her as if she was her own daughter, when Crabapple was about 1 Diamond and Applebloom got married, with Honeycrisp I think her new hairstyle and the green eyes suit her well

I think the blue hue is better on marigold, and her new look is very nice as well. I feel like Crabby's old colors are good as they are, and that Honeycrisp is great with green eyes. Great job on her new hair

I really like the your new way to draw Marigold, particularly her hair color. It's really nice. I personally prefer the more blue one. We can still imagine it comes from her grand father. But the more purple is nice too.
I clearly prefer the green Crabby because it work very well with her mane color. But you still can change everything about her to match more with her new parents. If not here are too little ideas :
- Diamond Tiara can be infertile. Even if she transform herself into a stallion for making babies, she's still infertile. So they ask for a donor and Applebloom is the biological mother.
- Apple bloom could have an accident with a stallion. Not an accident because they weren't carefull, more something really unexpected like "crap, the condom just crack…". Diamond Tiara was already really in love with Applebloom and she jump on this situation to finally confess her love. Shabadah shabadah. They decide to keep the kid.

I like the new Cutie Mark for Marigold. But as for a new color tone color tone I think what you want is liberty blue. I know it sounds crazy but it's an actual shade of blue with a slight purple-ish hue. Check it out here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shades_o… and you may also like pigment blue. That's another purple-ish blue. It's on this list as well.
Love Letter's new eye color is nice I'm sure.
For Crabby Apple's color scheme, if you really like it so much you can go with the sperm donor scenario. Or you can mix and match the original color scheme with a new one. That's what I would do myself.
And for Honey Crisp, I say purple eyes. Particularly orchid purple! That's a nice shade.

I think the Marigold looks better in blue, plus you could say she inherited it from her grandpa Night Light.
I adore Love Letter's bangs pulled back and those eyes are soooooo cute. I kinda hope when she's older, she decides to keep them back.
Unpopular opinion, but I personally like Crab Apple's new color scheme more.

I think Marigold's colors are fine ^^, maybe you can add like a purple streak of hair in as well, since Twilight does have purple along with the pink.
For Crabby's color, I like the new one better, and for if there should be a donor or not, I like to think that Crabby is the biological daughter of Diamond Tiara and Applebloom. They could maybe have asked either Discord/Twilight to switch Applebloom into a stallion for a little while and created Crabby ^^
And for Honeycrisp, I like the green eyes better on her, she looks more similar to her grandma with those green eyes :3.

I think all the new changes are wonderful~ Though I do have one unpopular opinion: I prefer the purple eyes for Honey. I just really enjoy the way they seem to pop and bring attention to her face. :>

I really like the change for Honey. It's a nice touch that she looks a lot like her grandma. I also think that green eyes suit her better.
As for Crabby, I'd say keep her old design. Her green color could be easly inherited from granny Smith and her eyes from Bright Mac.

I like the new changes to Marigold she looks very nice as more of a grown up and the dark blue coat suits her too. I think you could keep Crabby the light green if you really wanted to I mean look at all the other Apple family that has green coloring (showise too). Otherwise maybe you could color her a very light blush pink (some apples are that color) but I don't think that would go very well with her personality. O-O

Marigold looks good, the new cutie mark is a nice sleek design. I personally like her current blue colour- Blue and orange being complementary colours, I feel those two look better together in comparison to purple and orange.
Crab Apple... hmm, I think I like the previous colour scheme. Both are good and the new one does reflect her parentage more obviously but! But. I think the previous one is a more unique palette and is still plausible as a DiamondBloom kiddo as the greenish coloration could've been inherited from Granny Smith.
I like Honeycrisp's new hairstyle- I think it's a nice tribute of sorts to Buttercup. Also leaning toward liking the green eyes more. It matches up with the touch of green in her hat and the green functions as a compliment to the red of the hat and hair tie.
And then Love Letter is just the best I just love her, she's too adorable

Well idk if it will help in anyway but, I do prefer Marigold in her lighter blue color, it makes she look nicer to me, and her cutie mark is beautiful
Crabapple... I'm stuck in this one with ya since her old colors are very cool and do fit the color of Granny Smith, kind of, but her new colors fit her mamas better and she looks like an angry, adorable peach. so I do like the new color a lot, but the old one also fits I guess.

And honey... I really love her light purple eyes, but I have to say her green eyes look like emeralds, and so beautiful too. And it makes sense since her dad and mom both have green eyes... She is a cute bab.

So I like the idea of crabby having more her new moms colors. So the second design but it also makes sense - if they did a donor - that her colors are a bit different. I honestly could like with any design you choose.
Oh and for Honeycrisp I like the green but you could do a purple with a bit of green if you're that torn.

Crabby: I would have white stripes in her mane and tail and have her eye color similar to Diamond Tiara. That would do the trick.
Honeycrisp: Stick with green. It's an Apple tradition.
And don't sweat about making a big deal about details. I go thru Hell when I'm working on my characters. "WHAT KIND OF PAJAMAS DO THEY WEAR?!? ARE THEY A BREAKFAST CEREAL TYPE OR WOULD THEY ACTUALLY MAKE A MEAL FOR BREAKFAST!? AND THEIR HOBBIES! AAAAAAHH, IT NEVER ENDS!"

for marigold i say blue because the potion bottle for her cutiemark goes better with the blue in my own opinion. plus she can be blue because she could get that from her grandpa.
Crabby i think can still be the same, she could have green coat from her great grandma smith, and eyes like apple bloom's (red fade to yellow) seem to be a recessive allele in the apple family so she could have green eyes because her aunt and uncle do.
I adore the purple eyes on honeycrisp.

I think they look pretty cool like this but i'm fine with whatever you do (I mean it took 3 times for me to get satisfied with Midnight's design, first one looked too bland and male and the second one looked too far from their parents)

-Marigold it´s ok, maybe the blue can be more darker, something like Night Light
-I think Crabby it´s ok with the new design, maybe a little pinky tone in her mane for DT
-Purple eyes, she´s looks so preety with purple eyes
