I've been so swamped with so much school work lately that I've been finding hard to make time to draw, but thankfully after two weeks I was able to finish my next piece, Carol Danvers aka the world's mightiest super hero, Ms. Marvel! Ms. Marvel has always been one of my favourite characters in the Avengers, and that's because she's unlike most other girls who are just there to be there in the background. Carol is strong-willed, intelligent, and the only thing she wants is to be regarded as one of the world's best heroes, and to me she is.

I know she's wearing her new Captain Marvel uniform these days but I opted to go for something more iconic, and that's her trademark black outfit that she's been wearing for the most part of the decade. This was incredibly difficult because I wanted to give off a shiny look from her costume, and I had to work on it again and again to get something that satisfied me. While it may not be exactly what I wanted, it's good enough for now and maybe in the future with more practice I can go back to this and work on it again.

The lightning on her torso was also tricky to do since I had to make it follow the curves of her body, and the lines here and there give her a little but more depth like I always do. I also love how the crimson red sash takes away from the monopoly of blacks and yellows of the piece. The energy signatures from her hands were just stuff that I slapped on there to make it the piece look a little less bare.

The face is undeniably my favourite part, and I must say this has got to be my prettiest female piece so far. She looks gorgeous and shows off that true all-American look in her face, and her smirk gives her a little bit more attitude. She looks really good without her mask too, though of course this wouldn't be Ms. Marvel if I didn't put that on.

Carol has been through a lot throughout her history, and in the beginning she received a lot of stick from Marvel's writers. It's great to see how she's blossomed ever since, and how she's transformed into a character that we all know and love today.
