I missed my one moth deadline a couple of days, ago so I made the most of my free time (and sleeping time) these past few days to finally finish the third piece of this set. After Jean and Emma, the final spot on the couch for this group photo is for the weather witch herself, Storm!

Before starting out with the piece, I was really tempted to go for her new look which she's been sporting in the All-New X-Men series because I love her new costume design, but I opted to go for her pre-Now! look to keep the costume designs of the piece consistent between all the characters. I managed to keep the inks fairly simple since her costume is usually depicted as all black leather, but I opted to make it a little shinier with shades of dark blue here and there to give her a little more depth. I'm really pleased with how the gold trims of her costume turned out, and it's been a really good learning experience for me to work on my shiny surfaces so I can work on characters that are mostly made up of such surfaces.

For the pose as a whole I depicted her in a more regal and poised position, with her legs tilted to the side and her arms relaxed on her lap. Together with her reserved yet telling facial expression, I think I've managed to keep all three X-Women different so far in terms of characterization and posture.

I'm getting closer and closer to finally putting the final pieces of the piece to a close. The three main focal points are finally done, and I'll be working on four more characters in the periphery, and I hope to finish them faster than the last three. Once I'm all done I'll be posting a combined shot of all seven characters together! But for now I hope you enjoy this latest piece on Storm!
