This piece was made in 2007 for a pitch. But I thought you guys might like to see it

These character are from a novel by Jeff Lindsay and turned into an awesome TV series that airs on Showtime.

great job on them. I read the books and was hooked too. Even though I've only seen 3eps (the last 3 weeks) I love the show and this pic is just as good....
so real like to me, I would call it one of the best I've seen......

They look near identical to the charecters in the show! although I kind of pictured Rita different when she was described in the books lol, but the woman they picked got her attitude so spot on it amazes me. You did amazing on Doakes face especially

I read the books before I looked at the series and after I had read the books, I went to look at the cast pics on the internet and my first shock was: DOAKES IS BLACK?! No racial discrimination intended, but that was a real bombshell XD

I always like when a lovely lady says that to me!

It was a crazy time when I did this piece. I watched the whole first season in 1 sitting(because I got hooked) and then got to work on this piece because it was almost a cover to a comic book series. The creator of the novels got to see it and things looked good, then it got lost in the shuffle of the movie biz. But I still love show and novels

(I want to make more Dexter pieces when I get more free time)

Aw, what a let down. I'd totally get right on that if it had all gone through (that's what she said! Booyah!). I actually, just now, finished watching the finale of season 3. I love it so much I even had to send my mother a link, and now she's hooked too.

And please do make more! I'll have to check the books out, actually, I'd never heard of Dastardly Devilishly Daringly Darling Dexter until a friend from the States mentioned the show.
