Ah, red. Hot, sultry red. When I was trying to decide which girl to use for each color, none stood out more for crimson than Bettie Paige.

The human eye is drawn to red, and it is the hottest of all colors. It's the color of both Cupid and the Devil, of roses and blood. It traditionally symbolizes love, lust, passion, and power. Red is the attention-getter of the color wheel. It's the naughty older sister of pink.

Studies have shown that red can have a physical effect on people, often increasing their rate of respiration and raising their blood pressure. Personally, I don't think there's a single heterosexual guy who's looked at a picture of Bettie Paige and hasn't experienced those same physical changes.

The picture is a bit fuzzy (done on purpose), but I like the effect. I think it makes her look ethereal, almost like a vampire. Bettie would've made an excellent Vampirella, if somebody had decided to make a movie way back when.

So here she is, in all her crimson glory. Bettie's going to spank the town red.
