This reminds me of the episode Nighty Nightmare from Garfield and Friends, where Garfield has a bad dream caused by that pizza he devoured and he eats more and more, eventually becoming the same size as King Kong or Godzilla and gets drawn into outer space by aliens after they blasted him with an interplanetary hunger ray.
