Description Just a quick nail art tutorial, I usually do videos of these but this seemed like more fun this time!

I've discovered a way to make editing these tutorials much easier so there should be a lot more of them soon

Hope you enjoyed!

You amke it look so eaisy! I'm trying it right now and I always take too much off when I blot! Do you have any tips?

Maybe try just barely touching the tissue to the polish or trying a softer tissue. You could also try a sponge or let the polish dry a little more before blotting. Hope that helps!

Wow! This is super lovely!
It seems as though you are doing a horrible job
on painting your nails, but it really is something
after you are done~
I'd like to try this out sometime soon~
A quick question.. Does this technique work on
other colours as well?

VioletLeBeaux In reply to xBAKURA-star [2012-06-18 03:37:03 +0000 UTC]

Haha that's a good way to put it Yes this technique should work with other colours but the result will depend on the formula of the polishes. Some dry too quickly and some and not opaque enough but so long as you pick complimenting colours it should be fine ^_^

Oh, that's good to know then c:
I will try to pick polishes that dry quick
but not too quick.. I hope I can make it
work and look nice instead of a huge mess~
I'm sure it's going to be a huge mess instead
of something cute and quite unique

It's pretty, but it doesn't at ALL remind me of a peacock. Those are green and blue.

Thank you! It's actually based on Bornite stone which is sometimes nicknamed peacock stone. They are generally blue, purple and pink sometimes with shots of gold, here's an example: [link]

aah ca't wait to try out
awesome tutorial
1st layer needs to be dry right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VioletLeBeaux In reply to ReneeDeLaGee [2012-06-16 05:54:18 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't have to be very dry but it depends on how many layers of other colours you want to add over the top and how opaque those colours are. I like to do mine while it's still quite wet so it mixes into the other colours. It basically just needs to be opaque by the end ^_^

haha maths part 1 went ok part 2 went terrible
just like my nails
my layer took all my other layers with it when dabbing

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

VioletLeBeaux In reply to ReneeDeLaGee [2012-06-21 01:43:46 +0000 UTC]

Oh no! Maybe try a thicker polish or wait until it's half dry then just dab very lightly, it should take some of the polish off so you can see the layer below it but not all ^_^
