I agree, it was definitely annoying to sit through eight episodes of the same thing, but you have to admire the dedication it took for these guys to MAKE eight episodes of the same thing and not just recycle the same footage. How much trouble was that for them?
It wasn't all bad. At least the Endless Eight didn't show during the first season.

There making a movie version of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Most people thought it would be in season 2, but that was all part of Kyoani's scheme. It's coming out in spring too, so there won't be that much waiting..
