Why didn't you just make a stencil instead of cutting out the shapes out of tape? That takes forever lol!

Thats what I did the first go around but they never would stay in place and you get alot of underspray (where the paint goes under the stencil) and overspray. not to mention the fact that when you are using a stencil that much the paint continues to build up and I was getting it all over my hands and then that would get on the gun and makes a large mess. I am all for stencils. In fact I love them. But it just wouldn't work. So after countless attempts I came up with the stickers idea. You start with a normal layer of paint and stick the stickers to it wherever you want and layer another layer over it then you stick more stickers overlapping others and repeat and when you are done you just peel them all off very easy and then spray a clear coat over it and bam! I like it better this way I told the guy I would do it as professional as I could and as you can tell there is NO overspray or blemishes anywhere on it. Also I forgot to mention that I first spray the gun with the Cement spray paint stuff. You know the stuff with the really rough texture. And then after 24 hours of drying you sand it very lightly with fine sand paper and it very effectively reduces shine on the gun I was very happy with it. Other than the 24 hour drying time But then again you have to wait it out to get the result. I think next time I will go with larger leaves and that should reduce production time and have a better look but we will see I need another test subject to try it out on. If i get one you will be the first to know when I finish it.

Ahhh i see man. SO you didn't want any overspray I see. Personally man, I love over and under spray. Gives the gun a more rugged look IMO. Then again, I'm a graffiti artist so I love paint drips and spray so it makes sense xD. Sounds like you did a hell of a long process on this! Again, it came out good and Im def looking forward to some more of that!!

Yeah Multicam uses a sort of fade that would be sort of similar to over and under spray and it works extremely well. I have some stories in fact but for another time. Yeah I love the under and over and drips when it comes to graffiti. It makes it so much more gritty in all the right ways.
