Description It's Knux! That is all.

Just another thing I did mostly this last summer and only now completed.

First sculpture I've made where the paint cost more than the actual clay. Classy!

No problem, and what kind of paint did you use?

I use acrylic paints, but most paints work alright on polymer sculptures. Oil paints take a long time to dry, though.

Awesome as usual! The design on the base must've taken a while to make; it looks simple, but your probably need pretty nimble fingers to keeping something that small in-shape while you put it on. :3

hmm.. yours do look great, but the light made me think on something..
would would it look if the Base was a shiny Master Emerald? =3

Viquoise In reply to RogueLynn [2011-10-08 16:12:12 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! The red lens is made from translucent clay, the light disk itself I just got from an electronic parts store.

XD I do too, my projects keep getting screwed up whenever I relocate somewhere.

RogueLynn In reply to Viquoise [2011-10-17 16:09:27 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, when I was 15y.o. I made a few Pok e' mon pieces and fairy style pieces. I told my mom that if she ever got around to it if she could put them in the oven - to act like a kiln. The clay I used could do that (I thought that was neat) Well, time later I find out that my mom still hasn't done anything. (I was busy with school). So we end up packing to move down south (yeah heat..lol.) I couldn't find my work, thinking maybe she finally did it and packed them nicely with our glassware. Come to find out being back south and unpacking the melted everywhere in a shoebox. So you can understand how heartbroken I was.
Now, I'm moved into my own apartment with my husband and no longer have to worry about that happening again. I just need a camera, instead of my weird phones camera..lol.

Sorry, for the loooong tale..heh.

Viquoise In reply to RogueLynn [2011-10-22 08:03:13 +0000 UTC]

Haha, yeah that happens. I often find myself scrambling to get a ton of projects done before I move. Come to think of it though, this Knux sculpture was started before I moved to where I am now!

Damn, down south? Yeah polymer works-in-progress will expire really fast down there Dx . Even if you just leave the clay alone, it'll get crumbly if left in hot weather long enough.
