It may be a different continuity, but I can't help but wonder if Merlin was an Enchanter King from the Nameless Zone; like in Fleetway's "Sonic the Comic". It may just be a coincidence, but I can't help but wonder.

Still wish they brought back the chosen one series. It kinda gets dry when Sonic keeps saving the world. Makes me wonder if the Royal Guard has a purpose in the story anymore. It seems like they died off after the Great Mobian War. I guess Im just disgruntled by the dependency of one guy that it makes me wonder what do they have for a contingency plan. Especially when this guy is full of himself. Sorry Im just rambling off.
