This is my human anatomy goal to be honest, I don't remember a damn thing about any of my studies X(
Also your character looks really original as well, amazing work!

aaah thank you so much! i've definitely found myself returning to the basics for human anatomy lately, but he's been a good subject to practice and play around with, and references really help. ;;v;;

Yeah I've been doing just that really, just doing a ton of reffed studies. Thing is IDK about you but I find following a ref isn't too bad but remembering anatomy by heart is quite difficult.
Also I looked around your page but couldn't find anything so pardon me for being a dumb but do you have a comm journal at all?

i'd been putting off opening comms for various reasons that i need to stop excusing, but i'd offer portraits like this one (a figure on a solid background) from $20 for a bust to $50 for a full body.
but YEAH, tbh there was a point i felt i had a better internal grasp of anatomy (or at least i was heading in the right direction), but somewhere a switch flicked and now i sometimes find i rely too heavily on references, so i've definitely been trying to pull back into using refs smarter. i think i've settled on something of a 'i just need to draw more,' by which i mean i'd like to spend more time just doing warmups, doodles, and studies without worrying about making only 'finished' products. i mean, there are still definitely times i look at my sketchbook and think 'yikes, when did i get so bad at anatomy,' but i'm trying to be more forgiving of myself ahah.

I might keep an eye out then - $20 for something like this is more than reasonable (if I've understood you correctly), but I gotta wait until i get paid before I can consider it LMAO
AND YES forgive yourself, imperfections are what make art good < 3 I'm trying to see what I can do without references but unfortunately that's not much XD

too real to both points
but you can definitely get to somewhere you're proud of if you keep working at it 💪

I bet. I love characters that you just enjoy drawing. They're always great for drawing exercises or when you have an art block.

yeah lol! it's nice to have such a self-indulgent character tbh
plus getting into floral patterns can be relaxing. just draw a bunch of flowers and pretty colours...

Oh I agree. I think that's why I love coloring so much. It is great for relaxation. = u =
