Description Mirai-nao is a pun. "Mirai" means future in Japanese. And "nao" is a play on the word "now" for English when you pronounce it. So it's like saying "The Future, Now." Bike was done in Illustrator.

very sweet design. I've been thinking about trying to model something similar in 3dsmax or C4d

well in response to your comment, i can say... first off, the best superbikes are japanese, explain the Hayabusa? yeah i don't ride, this bike isn't meant for daily riding obviously. You think that 4-wheeled motorcycle that Ford(not sure if it's Ford) made is ever gonna see a street? I don't think so. this bike is meant to be on a test course, ever seen anything sci-fi? i'm not gonna make a bike like this and try to go hit up the canyons. well i used gradients because it was a requirement for my class.

the bike is aerodynamically sound, has safety measures to keep the rider planted in the seat, and controls that are concealed within the ferring. the wheelbase is so long for rider and engine clearance and high speed stability. the suspension is there if you rip it open. it's just a concept, it wouldn't be made into something real. if someone wanted to make it real, i'm sure multiple changes would have to be made. probably the same reason why the production version NEVER looks like the concept. and bikes are highly anal about design characteristics. same reason why Honda only has 1, and Chrysler has the Tomahawk-which has clearance just as low, and on top of that no aerodynamic support to shield the rider, yet it has a V8, and ticks in at 1500 lbs. sounds pretty impractical to me.

thanks for a response nonetheless, i like hearing other people's perspectives.

i think the name choice is a little more left to opinion. if the product/image delivers, i don't think people really care anyway.

wapanese names are a turn off, and you obviously do not ride, because the huge wheelbase, nonexistant suspension and extremely low clearance would make that bike impossible to ride in anything but a perfectly straight line. i also don't see controls or anything else, though i have a guess to where they are, but the bike would give anyone back problems with a riding position like that.

anyways, aside from the concept, you seem to have the basics of illustrator down pretty damn well, but for one thing. do not use gradients. ever. they make your pic look very, very cheap if used more than a few times on small things.

D-

do more research about biking
stop naming things in "japanese"
don't use gradients.

Now serious, very good work!
