Description I am so proud of this picture! I took this at a dock near my house. There are two ospreys, one male and one female, who have lived around the mangroves at the dock for a very long time. Every day I go out, one will be perched on the highest branch and one will be flying. I am pretty sure that this is the female.

Wow fantastic shot. There is an osprey project by me in Wales, I've not been able to snap any decent pictures of them yet. One day I hope to capture them with a fish, I love how they'l align it in that position to reduce wind resistance... fascinating. Absolutely love this shot, well done

Thanks so much!! This was the first good osprey shot I had ever taken, and when I got it, I sprinted home to show it to everyone. hahah
Yeah, its so cool how they hold the fish. It looks like they are making them fly.

Thanks for the fav! It was such a lucky shot! I always use manual focus and when something is flying that fast, the pictures aren't always in focus, so I am so happy with this one!

cool are there any mudcrabs? cos when I used to live in Sydney, there were mangroves there that you could walk through (like a national park), and there were all these cute little mudcrabs under the wooden deck paths, and a lot of spiders
