Description Let's try that again. What do you think?

This is thanks in part to ~brewer23-stock for the great background image. No, that's not me. Sorry, ladies.

Anyway, this was far easier to make (once I delved through several hundred amazingly shitty stock photos... I thought Lit was the only place where people submitted trash and called it art on a regular basis), and if people like it and would even consider buying it, I could very seriously see spending the time to do similar things with my other popular works.

So, anyway, let me know, people.

You can find the original poem here .

I suppose this hasn't got a comment because the poem by itself got all of them; I honestly think the picture and even the font adds a ton to the poem which by itself was fantastic. The first stanza could and should be a quote given to every poet before he or she writes her first poem.
It's moving to see such a perfect blend of visual sensation with poetic elegance.

See now why did this show up as having no comments when I posted that... odd. Oh well, same goes.

Ha! Yeah, weird glitch, huh? There's a couple of pieces in my gallery that I look at now and go "I swear those had comments..."

Ah well, it's one of those things that'll fix itself when someone comments.

As to your comment, thanks much! I'm flattered you think it's that good.

Its amazing for sure. I love the words, not so much the picture, although it does add something that makes it more relatable (?) Anyway, it's great work.

Beautiful. Both the poem itself and the way it works with the background image. It is completely true.

I don't fancy that guy very much (bet you're glad now he's not you ), but that isn't really relevant, is it? I dunno... it actually looks pretty cool. But however many times you do this I'm always going to say I prefer the original text only version. (Sorry.) I'm having a bit more trouble relating the image to the poem this time... I dunno.

Not to say I think he's totally hot, (oh my) but if you don't find him attractive, I'd wager you'd find me horrifying. Ah, self-deprecation, it's a blast. I'm playing, really, I don't think I'm unattractive. Mostly.

I guess I'll be flattered that you like my writing better than my writing and other people's photography.

I do, I do.

If it were me, and I put one of my poems with an image, and somebody wanted to buy it, I'd worry that they were buying the image and not the poem.

Have you noticed how there's never any literature in the day's most popular deviations? Why is that?

Not sure what the "I do"s are for, unless we're married now. Which is fine. Also not sure what exactly you're replying to...

HOWEVER, I agree with you. It's silly and literature should be desired for what it is, not for what it can look like given a certain picture or drawing.

Didn't you click on the parent link?

Yes, but if you read the actual parent comment, you had already responded to it and the I do, I do stuff didn't really seem to follow at all.

I was responding to a different part of it - about liking your poetry more than your poetry with other people's photography. I don't know why I suddenly had to do it today - I just got the urge.

Now that I re-read it, I guess I can understand. I was just confused becuase you responded to the same comment twice, at a gap of a few days.

I know you don't think I'm shallow enough to judge people on looks alone. It's just I don't know anything about this guy - maybe if I got to know him I'd find reasons to find him attractive. As it is, I can see he's a nice looking guy, but not really my type.

Reassurances that you aren't horrifying from someone who has never seen you probably wouldn't hold much water, but I do doubt it. The first step is liking you as a person. And I already do.

Haha. I'm just teasing you, dear. And I was also joking about being unattractive. I may not think I'm perfect, but I do like me for who I am.
