Cute! That's supposed to be Trevor the toad on Neville's shoulder, yes? And what is Nagini (?!) doing in that cage at the top right hand side? Neville beheaded her, after all. And considering how Snape got killed--even if magically brought back to life--would he not AVOID having a caged snake in any room he was in? Still a cute pic--thanks for doing it!

The heap at the right side : the gifts Severus has received for his birthday from his fangirls and various worshipers. But someone (with a twisted sense of humor)(some thinks of the former Headmaster Albus Dumbledore but there is no proof) sent him a little snake in a cage - not Nagini. Officially, Snape ignores the gifts, naturally...

Hi. I'm only just now getting to grips with dA's very user-hostile messaging system, which I haven't had time to do before - sorry for the delay in replying.
Giving Extras is the most canon-compatible fic, since it was started after DH. Hermione, Neville and Luna and a research-healer at St Mungo's come up with a way of restoring Severus to life, because they have his memories (plus a few co-mingled drops of life-blood) taken at the point of death. They make him a new body using a method traditional in British folklore. But this means that everyone else has lived through twenty years as flesh and blood while he's been divided between a spirit and a portrait, and now Harry's generation are all in their late 30s and so is he.
