I love the composition and colours of this. Narcissa is one of the most interesting versions of that character I have seen. Love your Snapes, always, also this one; the books are briliant, too.

The way this picture is visually "organised" makes me think it would make for a wonderful tarot card. I really like the contrast between Severus and Narcissa both looking adequately gloomy while Bellatrix is just smirking like the madwoman she is, loving to watch the world burn.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the book, and I was a bit disappointed that they didn't kneel on the floor in the movie! It just seemed so much more dramatic and heart-wrenching that way to me. That scene really is so much more in the book...

The actors were not young enough to kneel down, probably. I like in the book how much the scene is symbolic - Narcissa can kneel down because she is pleading, Severus because he is a knight in the scene. However, the scene is not easy to draw.

Love it! Great to see such an iconic scene by you. I missed your art. Beautiful illumination there. One small criticism if you ever feel like playing around with this piece - Bella's expression isn't what I'd call amazed/astonished/whatever it was in the book.
