Kethron is in fact wearing a grass skirt
He is HARDCORE for this competition, y'all
He finally got in shape!
(and welcome to my no-references-used human anatomy!)

Most of this was done on the livestream!

Backstory info:
•Kethron and Leovanthos finally shed their chub and are fit and toned (Kadi has been low-key pestering him about it (she herself is very in shape (even after having twins)))
•Kethron and Kadi sometimes call each other by their respective last names (they're not married so they're different), a joke from when they first met.
•Kadi really doesn't like nicknames like 'baby' or 'honey' or 'sweetie' etc. but Keth calls her them anyway and she calls him one sometimes, sarcastically.

Stable story (456 words):
  Kadi stands, a mug of tea in her hands, watching the news.
"Take a gander at who you're basically married to, m'love," Kethron's voice says from behind her.
She scowls as she turns around at the nickname, then becomes very alarmed as she looks at him.
He's wearing a Hawaiian grass skirt and leg and arm piece costume. With an orange-and-red lei.
He holds his arms out, and raises his eyebrows. "Yeh? Fabulous, amirite?"
Here eyes are wide and fearful. "... Wh... what?"
"It's summer themed, right?"
She is still gaping at him. "Why are you wearing a skirt?"
"It's a man's costume, sweetheart. Hawaii! Hawaii's a great place We should go there. And, c'mon - I look great now!"
She is still frozen in place, holding her tea. "What sort of man's costume? The woman kind?"
He gruffs. "One for men with sexy new toned abs and arms and stuff, that's who!"
"Uh-huh...."
He rolls his eyes. "There are shorts under this. But what else is summer-themed?"
"A swimsuit?"
"That's boring."
"Not if it is a..." she trails off and frowns. "The tiny one...?"
Now his eyes go wide. "A speedo?"
She grins. "Yes, that."
"You... hold on" he says incredulously, holding a finger up. "You want me to wear a speedo to a competition?"
She continues to grin and sips her tea.
He shakes his head. "Who are you and what have you done with the woman who is normally in this house??"
She puts her tea down. "You are not the man who is normally in here either, Mr. Sexy Skirt."
He crosses his arms. "I'm not wearing a speedo. You'll have to hire an underwear model for that."
She smiles and goes to him, inspecting one of the grass armbands. "Can I?"
"Nope. At least not in this house."
She flicks her light grey eyes to him, a smile still lingering. "I guess I can do without hiring an underwear model if you're going to be wearing a skirt and nothing else all day."
He smiles and pecks her on the lips. "That's very sweet of you. Compliment recognized and accepted."
"And what will the other sexy male be wearing?"
"Leo has a giant lei like this. It's rope in the center."
"Sounds very appropriate."
He starts walking backwards down the hall. "It is and we will show you that we can win stuff too."
She returns to her tea, raising her eyebrows. "I look very forward to it. And to the pictures."
"Ha, ha," he says sarcastically, disappearing into a room.
"You do look great, darling," she calls after him, then sips her tea and smiles to herself, eventually returning to the news. "Except you still need a haircut," she mumbles.

Competition story (275 words):
"It's a beautiful day and the clouds are puffy and the water is cool and you just got a haircut and I didn't and you look great and I look pretty great and you're naked because you're a horse and I'm half-naked for some reason I'm not really sure of at this point and we need to win this so I don't get roasted by Daggon, alright, old pal?" Kethron says to Leo, who is standing patiently, as they wait for their turn to enter the beach arena, rubbing his hand on his thick, muscled neck. "Also," he adds, looking around, "I don't see any other men around here, so... manliness! Show off to the mares and women for me because I'm wearing a skirt. So actually I'm gonna mount up right now. Neck down, please!"
He pats King's shoulder, who shakes his head a little and lowers it, ears flicking to him. Kethron leans over his neck and is raised up by him and he swings a leg over and scoots back into place.
"Good boy, helping an old man," he says, patting him again. "You look great for how old you are, you know that?" He takes the lei rope in his hand and Leovanthos stands attentive.
"Okay, let's roll out! I mean, trot."
King, knowing many voice commands, eases into a trot on the sandy beach while another competitor is in the arena. Kethron watches them as he puts his beloved retired war stallion through his paces.
After some time, it's their turn.
"Alright, Leo. Man-li-ness. Enough for the both of us. I have something to prove today! While wearing a skirt...."
