Beery's best scene is his last in the movie - slightly moving.Β Other good scenes, the business of Akim Tamiroff and one of the female passengers about some jewelry she worries about; the business of poor Lewis Stone trying to live down an act of cowardice years before and being a punching bag for Dudley Digges until a change in situation occurs.

Indeed!.. And a good adventure scene in terms of the storm at sea with the cargo sliding around deck.. considering how early this film was made , it was an impressive action-effect shooting.
