Agreed, on both counts.
I understand that Fonda was pissed about the Good Doctor coming out in February of that year, months before Fail-Safe did.
I loved Walter Matthau as Edward Tell-- er, someone kinda famous at the time.

IT and Dr. Strangelove where based on the same book, as I recall. Saw them both, and thoroughly enjoy them.

Yeah, a lot of them really slip through the cracks. Especially with Strangelove (which I submit, is the version I prefer, though it IS one of my all time favorites) coming out at the same time.

That was an interesting movie. Not a typical American ending. 'Dr. StrangeLove' is very good. "There will be NO fighting in the War Room!!!
