The League of Extraodinary Gentlemen..based on the comic book, not the movie. I resisted seeing the Movie for a long time; and when I finally did; it was bad. But I still liked it. The Book, of course, is infintely better.Related content

Indeed, the comic is far better than the film. Still, Sean Connery was an awsome Alan Quartermaine.
The sad thing is: because of the LXG film, Alan Moore wanted nothing to do with V for Vendetta......and that one was a really decent film.

I understood that the V prob Alan Moore had was an exec quoted A.M. as saying he was really excited about the film! Mr.Moore, really, was not; so he pulled even his name from it. And Yeah, Connery Rocks as Quartermaine! I heard he was offered a big part in the Lord of the Rings (Theoden??) but he turned it down. :/ And yeah, V was awesome!

Yup. Connery was offered the role of Theoden. Think he was als offered the part of the Architect in the Matrix trilogy too.
Also, turns out he won't be reprising his role as Henry Jones Sr. in the new Indiana Jones film.

A cool Theoden indeed. I'm glad he didn't take the part in the Matrix Reloaded though. That film was......bleh, to me.

Heheheheh....sorry, I was thinking of a conversation I had with a friend at school about Connery. We were talking about what would happen if every character he's portrayed were in a giant free-for-all deathmatch. We got a few funny results.

My favorite scenario was when we got to Bond versus Henry Jones, Sr. I figured that if Bond was using a jetpack, Jones could do the umbrella-bird thing from the third Indy film and end up clogging the jetpack up with a seagull.
